Jan has over 11 years of experience on institutional, commercial, high-rise, residential, interiors, and adaptive re-use projects, and he has a broad background in environmentally sustainable building practices. He has worked on over a dozen LEED certified projects and has worked as a LEED certification consultant. Jan teaches courses in the Architects Registration Exam (ARE) at the Professional Engineering Course Center in Santa Ana. He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Miami University, a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon and he completed advanced studies in European modern design at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany. Born in the Czech Republic, Jan has lived in the United States since age 5. He has lived in Los Angeles since 2002, and enjoys contemporary art exhibits, practicing yoga, and the outdoors. He speaks English, German, Czech, and Spanish.
